This afternoon, on the Costanera de Posadas, the event was held for the Argentine Navy Day, where the 205th anniversary of the Naval Combat of Montevideo was commemorated, marking the definitive victory of the National Squadron under Admiral Guillermo Brown over the Spanish naval forces in the Río de la Plata.
Precisely, in front of the Stella Maris Chapel, there was a civic-military parade and the traditional “Uniform Delivery Ceremony” to the cadets that entered this year and the “Change of Standard-bearers”.
The activity was headed by the Government Minister of the province of Misiones, Marcelo Pérez and accompanied by the Navy’s Director of Education, Captain Fernando Emir Maglione and the director of the Lyceum, Captain Francisco Daniel Pellegrino.
He also participated in the expedient conduction of the Institution, officers, non-commissioned officers and private civilians, as well as Veterans of the Malvinas War, naval attachés and members of other Armed Forces and Security, among others.
Family, friends and a large audience was present at the time of the parade, where they also passed the airplanes of the Posadas aeroclub that gave a spectacular frame on the beautiful sunny afternoon.
Captain Fernando Emir Maglione, expressed his satisfaction and astonishment at the normal convocation.
Regarding the force indicated that they seek to improve year by year the quality of the people who enter and Misiones has a body of about four hundred boys. “We are very good Argentines, a fantastic human group that are integrally trained,” he said.
